My list of children’s movies.

May 17, 2007

All of us love movies. How it’s good to be sitting down to watch a movie with our kids. There is something magical in a truly good children’s film. We laugh and we cry, we learn and we enjoy together and we have a long talk about after they’re over. But first we need to deside which movies we would like our kids to watch. To my opinion Children’s Movies shouldn’t just be made for children, but made so that people of all ages can enjoy them together. This is my list of some movies that we are enjoy watching together.

The Wizard of Oz (1939)
Mary Poppins (1964)
James and the Giant Peach (1996)
Toy Story (1995)
The Snowman (1982)
The Jungle Book (1967)
Babe (1995)
A Bug’s Life (1998)
Shrek (2001)
A Knight’s Tale
Lost In Space
Good Boy
Escape to Witch Mountain
Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey
The Love Bug
The Mighty Ducks
The Santa Clause
Angels In The Outfield
The Cat From Outer Space
Annie
A Bug’s Life
Finding Nemo
Willow
Castle in the Sky
The Secret of Nimh
Nausica
The Secret of Roan Inish (1994)
October Sky (1999)
Muppet Treasure Island (1996)
Incredible Journey (1963)
BBC mini-series almost reaches perfection, with Jonathon Swift’s classic satirical novel and more…
So it’s not complete list but there you have it. Funny, sad, magical films for families that love movies. Films like these like a gift, their quality making them timeless. There may well come a time when our kids no longer look at these films like they do now - but they will again, when they have kids of their own.
I think it’s time to watch a movie. Enjoy!
